Project Manager

  • Organize a team and make translation plans in consideration of the characteristics, difficulty and volume of the project.

  • Redefine terminology and, for any change in technical terms, finalize it through consulting with the client (change translation guidelines and project terminology and give feedback to the information support team).

  • Identify any special features of the project and inform the team members of the client's requirements.

  • Monitor the progress of translation everyday and, if any, settle problems through consulting with the client and give feedback to the team members.

  • Manage service quality by checking the quality of translation under way and correcting defects.

  • Educate translators at the company or through external programs.

    Translators

  • Must be skillful in the corresponding foreign language as well as in Korean, and have experiences in translation related to the corresponding area.

  • Make primary translation for the original text, and report any new terms and questions to the project manager and make final decisions on them.

  • Must keep the client's requirements in mind.

  • Understand the text and translate it without error or omission, and consider who will read the translated text.

  • For any other questions and problems, make a report and consult with the project manager.

    Proofreaders & Professionals

  • Must be skillful in the corresponding foreign language as well as in Korean, and have academic qualifications or expert knowledge in the corresponding area.

  • Must have experiences in translating books related to the corresponding area.

  • Understand the original text, find and correct any error or omission in the translated text in comparison with the original one, and make the use of terms consistent (for new or changed terms, give feedback to the information support team for updating the database).

  • Check if there are any technical errors in general composition from the viewpoint of users, and correct them.

  • Make a report to the project manager on questions and problems.

  • Introduce new technologies and educate translators for technologies and linguistics.

  • For a specific client company, learn how to use new tools necessary for doing the client's work, and draw and format documents of the client.

  • Input correctly without typo and omission based on the original text, and settle any problem by consulting with the project manager.

  • Convert an input document file (HUN/DOC/HWP) to a text file.

  • Convert the file for computer edition to a format required by the client.
